Connections can give recommendations and endorsements. Groups on LinkedIn are collection of users who share something in common, a particular interest, geography or work history. Joining groups can help identify leads or even enhance your job search.
Career pages can be added to Company profiles, advertising employment opportunities.
Endorsements on LinkedIn are useful, although Recommendations carry much more credibility.
